Today, I spent hours arguing with my mother, who claimed I shouldn't make a three hour drive because I wouldn't be able to concentrate for that long. I argued that I was a perfectly capable driver, and left. In the last 2 minutes of the journey, I hit a van and messed up the front of my car. FML

I know that a lot of people are gonna put YDI, but that's just unlucky. FYL

Your mum was right, too. Being a capable driver is a completely different thing than having infinite supplies of concentration. Drive for an extended period of time, and you /will/ lose your focus. This is why you should take a break every now and then.

What are you 17? That's sad that you can't concentrate for a 3 hour drive.

Maybe the van driver couldn't concentrate for a 5 minute drive making her crash. Now that is sad.

It's always at the end something bad will happen. FYL

i hate it when mothers are right..... and they never forget it, everytime someone does a mistake, his/her mum will bring it up. just make her [mother] feel all powerful...... lol i can't wait to do that to my own HAHAHAHAHA.... i hope you were ok,

Actually, your crash was in the last second of your journey, unless your journey was to visit an auto repair place.

for the sake of everyone, get the off the road...

Tell that to the poster of the FML where a mom asks her son if the guy on the top has to "take care of himself."

Why do people think its the OP's fault? Stop assuming its the women and maybe the person in the van caused it.

Because when you rear end someone, that means you weren't paying attention.

collisions are both drivers' fault. even if the other driver caused the collision, you should have tried to prevent the accident, thats why its called DEFENSIVE driving.
