Well, that depressing..
And that comment was inappropriate. Depression isn't something to joke about.
This website was made entirely to laugh at other people's misfortune.
Cali - Everything is something to joke about, but the users here tend to get asshurt over silly, otherwise innocuous comments, especially ones about any kind of mental illness. It's completely ridiculous.
I didn't find the comment particularly offensive, but I certainly understand why some people would. Mental illness is so stigmatized and it takes a lot of strength to talk about so jokes about it and casual treatment like "omg, I'm so OCD too!" can be really frustrating for people who are suffering. This may not be the ideal place for serious mental health concerns but offensive is offensive.
The fact that OP posted this on a site designed entirely for humour is grounds for people to make jokes about it. IF OP posted this on beyond blue (depression help) website THEN there should be no tolerance for jokes.
Well, whose was it?
I was gonna ask the same thing lol
*it was
Don't you know that one can switch the subject and verb order of a sentence to a Verb-Subject form? Elementary, my dear Cdobs. There is no need for a correction. This FML may have been translated.
It's not their fault... I hope you can convince them that depression can come from the lack of....-thinks- I can't Quite remember the word... But I think it's called endorphins...
Seratonin is the word youre looking for.
#5 Why would lack of dolphins make him depressed?
#22 Maybe OP has a dolphin fetish?
Maybe they lost their favorite dolphin earring and is depressed about it. *sobs quietly*
Go home 6. You're drunk.
Sounds like at least part of your depression stems from them. Not individually so much as collectively.
aw, OP. That sucks. I really do hope your parents understand that arguing is very stressful, and most importantly- I hope your battle with depression comes to an end very soon.
Sometimes parents react horribly to these situations but don't let it discourage you from finding the right help. Their might be local reach out programs in your town, or a psychologist. I hope you can find the help you need.
