32nd!
YDI for saying G-d, just say God, you dumbshit.
I believe Jews are not allowed to actually spell out the name of God (well, in Hebrew, but a lot of them carry it over to English), so it actually would be a cuss word.
One of the ten commandments is to never use the Lord's name in vain. It's not a cuss word, just disrespectful. It's like someone using your name whenever something bad happens.
which is why it rocks to be an athiest. no restrictions on language whatsoever
I laughed when you said it rocks to be an atheist. What else can you do without restrictions? Spit on old men, stab bunnies, or kick babies? Religion is one thing and morals is another. I don't shout "Buddah D-mn". I'm not forcing my beliefs down your throat, just have a little bit of respect.
Uhh... he said restrictions on language.
I'm not Athiest but Agnostic ( you believe there is something there but you're not quite sure). I am certaintly glad to not have restrictions on language, be able to eat any meat any time any day, and laugh at the people who let a book lead their lives. I understand your not cramming your religion down my throat but other people have, and it's annoying. I am asking for all of us, Athiest and Agnostic alike, please just please stop.
That's not what agnostic is. Agnostic has nothing to do with what you personally believe. There are Theistic Agnostics and Atheist Agnostics. Agnostic is just admitting that you never can know for sure.
That was my point. No one KNOWS, agnostics just admit to not knowing. What tigg3r described was Theistic Agnosticism. What you described, ihateallpeople, was just repeating what I said.
ok, jfox, one can be agnostic without specifying which "type" they are. like you said, it's still agnosticism.
I never said they had to specify. I'm just pointing out that Tigg3r said that agnostics believe in God, but aren't sure. "( you believe there is something there but you're not quite sure)" That's not a definition of agnosticism. That's my only point. Repeating what I say is not arguing with me.
I'm an Agnostic Atheist: I don't really believe in a God, but I'm not going to pretend I really know anything. I'm more of a spiritual Atheist. Read Michael Talbot's The Holographic Universe.
Jesus Christ, you guys are too religious.
fail.
Wait, partner as in your wife?
Partner as in, life partner, as in a person that they can't actually marry legally (in their country at least). That being said, lol.
Lyric fail. It's "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife."
My father used to sing that all throughout my childhood, whenever I visited him. (FML....)
I loved that song growing up, lol. You should see the bright side, maybe your partner wasn't calling you ugly, just stating that (s)he's not happy being with you ;-).
You call that the 'bright side'?!
So it sounds like she was joking with you.

Maybe I'm strange, but I never liked the phrase "partner." If they're lesbians, just say girlfriend.
