I lost my wallet one time at my school (though my school does not have a good reputation) and some kind girl turned it in to the office for me. When I retrieved it I asked who she was so I could reward her with a gift card with half the money I had in the wallet. I had 30$ in there so I have her a chipotle gift card for 15. Anyways, point is, keep doing the right thing, OP - there are times you won't meet an asshole!

Thank you, to everyone, who does the right thing! Society makes it harder on us for being do-gooders but I'd hope someone would do the same for me. I found 3, $2,000 checks made out to "cash" a few years ago, on the ground. There was no phone number on the check. I attempted to look up the person online with no avail. I took the checks to Chase, where the checks were from, and asked them to contact the account holder that the checks were found and turned in. I could have easily cashed $6,000 for myself since it was made out to "cash." The manager didn't do what I asked; she put them in a shred bin and told me if the account holder is worried, he'll call to have the checks cancelled. AKA, Chase wasn't going to contact him so he would have to pay to cancel the checks! Next time, I'll just send them in the mail to the account holder.

69- Im a woman and I have a really hard punch and no I am not a professional fighter. You can not base it off gender when it comes to men and women. Plus OP is a girl getting hit by another girl. Poor or not, the owner of the purse messed up big time! Assuming makes any situation worse than it should be. I wouldn't even ask why OP had my purse, I would have asked, "Hey, cute purse! Where did you buy it from?" No assumptions and OP would have the chance to say she found it in the bathroom and was returning it to the owner. But that just makes too much sense. Therefore, most people will keep assuming and expecting the worst.

If she was packing at school then she has some serious issues and it needs to be handled.
