Hey guys, its OP here! Just to clear a few things up, I was the one applying to the college, not interviewing another person. Sorry it was a typo, but in terms of the college I am hoping they will look at the big picture rather than focusing on the one mistake.

I'm quite sure you are not the first nervous student to be interviewed. The interviewer might forgive you.
You might be forgiven, if it was going as well as you think then one mishap won't affect it too much

That would have been a great response if the OP had been going for a job instead of applying for University.
That happens to more people than you would think.
