This is the worst fml I've seen...wow...that's so screwed up. If my mom did that I'd kick her out of my life for good.
I'm sorry to hear that Op. I hope she changes
Thats horrible! I hope you get your money back!
It's not like she got a broken product of the Internet, if the mother was gonna pay her back she would have asked to borrow some not ask for charity.
Time to show her some tough love, end the money OP... Don't be her enabler
That is so sad and messed up. Rule of thumb I use when family asks for money is I ask what is it for. If bills I ask for it and pay it myself. Groceries I'll go to the store let them pick out what they need and pay for it. I never give them cash.
That's terrible! Whenever my mom asks me for money and she intends to use it for alcohol and drugs, I fully expect her to invite me along! Ugh some people are so selfish!
Cut her off
I hope you have stopped giving her money! Instead, you can offer to help her with her addiction problem. Your mom will probably retort, "I've raised you and you can't even help me pay for my bills now?!" Then you let her know that she didn't raise you to let her continue wasting her money on her addiction, that she raised you to be much better than that. All hell might break loose, but it's better to either help her get out of her addiction or step away, than to help someone who won't help themselves.
She has to want to be helped. It is sad, but you cannot help people that don't want any help or aren't ready to quit.. :/
Very true! That's why I said to either offer help (if the mom will take it) or step away, than to help someone who won't help themselves. It sucks, yep :(

And we have our first nominee for mother of the year.
