Today, I managed to punch a customer's child as he walked around the corner just as I was enthusiastically pointing his mother in the direction of what she was looking for. FML

Suuuure OP was pointing in a direction. ;-) You pulled a smooth one OP. You got to punch the customers kid and made it look like an accident. You manage to do something a lot of employees wish for.

Wow that sucks OP, I bet you feel horrible. You didn't do it on purpose so don't feel too bad. I'm sure the kid is okay. But you should definitely be more careful.

Sarcasm doesn't fit, because what you said is true. Usually pointing things out gets *you* punched. Try telling a soccer mom that her kid dribbled out of bounds.

That we know of. Follow up, did the mother understand it was an accident? Or is she one of the ones that flips out and filed charges or compliant. I'm interested to know.
