Today, my husband had to quit his job. Five months ago, we paid a deposit on a brand new house, and the title and mortgage need to be finalized next week. His work is forcing him out because he wanted to do his job safely and to a high standard of workmanship. FML

Today, my husband decided he was finally going to quit his job. We literally bought a house last week. His job is/was easy, with pay way above his qualifications. After we'd talked about it FOR THE 50TH TIME, he did the opposite and texted the dept. head that he hates the company and wants to be part time at most. FML

Today, I finally quit the job that I've been complaining about. Before I could tell my husband, he informed me that he had been laid off, and was thankful we still had my income. FML

Today, I was fired from my job for "lack of work". What that means is that my boss hired his good-for-nothing lazy son, who then got too big of a mortgage, and he had to let me go to pay him a higher salary. FML

Today, I found out my husband hasn't paid the mortgage in 3 months. We have a joint account, but it has always been his job to pay the bills. We are in the process of selling our house, and when I asked him about it he said, "Why are you stressing? We're selling anyways." FML

Today, my husband put "sexual favors" on the memo line for my contractor's check. His wife saw it and he had to quit mid-job. I'm stuck with a half-finished house and my husband thinks it's funny. FML

Today, my husband and I went to the bank to figure out why our loan process has been such a pain in the ass, and why we can never get in contact with our lender. The bank said he quit last week. Guess he didn't think to tell anyone. FML

Today, my wife quit her job, not wanting to go back to in person at her office, to be a stay-at-home mom. Tomorrow, for my birthday, I was going to tell her that I'm not in love with her, have found an apartment, and signed a 2-year lease. I can't afford the apartment, mortgage, and the kids' tuition. FML

Today, my husband quit his stable job of 12 years at the bank to pursue a career selling kites. If we don't end up homeless because of this, god knows we will when he has a real mid-life crisis. FML

Today, I quit my job and sent a mass mail on Facebook that I was moving to a different state with my long time boyfriend. He called me later that night to tell me we aren't moving after all. Now we are both jobless with loads of bills to pay by the end of the month. FML

If you’re in the states, call OSHA and report them. Also have him file complaints with anyone he can. That is utter bullshit.

How has he been forced to quit (I am presuming an environment has been made which is unwelcoming)? If that is the case then I am presuming they made the same excuse a company made with a friend of mine, he was working to slow because he wanted to put the guards down on the machines etc.

If he has not reported the unsafe work conditions, then he is just an asshole. Sorry,no other way to put it. What, he leaves and whines about having to leave because it is unsafe but leaves other people to work like that? Are you kidding? Either man up or shut up. Unless he is going to do the right thing and report them, his own fault

Here in Australia there's a thing you can claim called "Unfair dismissal.", if you have something similar where you are, I'd do that, his former boss could get into a world of trouble for firing someone for doing the right thing.

That only works if they actually fire you. If you are “encouraged” to quit then you quit so no wrongful termination. That’s why they do it that way so they don’t get sued.

Report them to OSHA. It is illegal to fire someone for following OSHA safety laws. It is also illegal to fire someone for reporting the company to OSHA
