You got burned by a little, yellow dwarf star, wimp? How are you gonna make it around a red giant? I guess wimps aren't going to make it in intergalactic space travel!
"What did you think I could do? TALK my way out of it?"
I have a suspicion that OP was called a wimp not for getting the sunburn, but instead for how they acted AFTER they got the sunburn… Not everyone deals well with pain, especially if this is the first time they got a major sunburn. OP, I recommend Aloe Vera gel if the sunburn is still bothering you - I soothes the burning… OP in the future, know your own body’s tolerance for exposure to the Sun. If you have to be out in the Sun and you are susceptible to sunburn ideally wear a hat to protect your face and use sunscreen. Be aware that even on overcast days the UV rays from the Sun that cause the tanning and the burning still come through. Also being on the water seems to increase the likelihood of burning such as swimming and boating. While we need sunlight in reasonable amounts for health, too much all at once results in a burn. And a lifetime of often doing that results in a higher probability of skin cancer.
