I'd think it's time to hide all the bottles...
This is no time for alcoholic hide and seek, she has an appointment to get to!
She's not as think as you drunk she is
Hide… or smash?
... but sober But seriously...she probably would be a bit more sensible sober because she's smart enough to go to therapy...
I guess she lives by the term "I'm a drunk, alcoholics go to meetings".
That's silly haha stupid mum..
That really sucks.. Try not to take anything she says to heart when she's drunk. Maybe try and talk to her therapist the next time you see him/her about what happened.
Some of them say things they don't really mean when they're really out of it. They act and speak based on what their current emotion is.
I have zero patience with the excuse "it's just the booze talking" or similar things. The only time being intoxicated should absolve one of responsibility is if it was unknowing or unwilling. For example, if someone spiked your drink, or your doctor neglected to inform you of potential intoxicating side effects. If you willingly choose to get drunk, you are 100% responsible for your actions.
Time for an intervention.
She's got a real issue, I suggest professional help. Like a rehab, because her alcoholism became a habit "as usual"...
Rehab only works if the addict wants to quit. She sounds like she doesn't really want to quit so rehab won't work otherwise Lindsay Lohan would be fine by now.
In that case therapy needs to make a house call !
Don't worry OP, my moms an alcoholic as well. Just ignore her until shes sober.
