Admittedly while funny, I must wonder when about to commit an adult act why wear something so childish. But then again dickachu your girlfriend wasn't very mature either.
Maybe it was spontaneous? Sounds like they can have fun!
Comment moderated for rule-breaking.
Show it anyway#70 they're boxers, big deal....
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” C. S. Lewis
@46 - If you consider the Pokemon anime to be the larger piece of the franchise over the games, Red will hunt you down, massacre you, and leave a note that says "........"
#70, don't be so stuck up. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a children's show. Anyway, I have various superhero socks (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, The Flash etc.). Does that mean I deserve to be laughed at?
I have Batman undies and two Batman t-shirts. I'll never understand why some people have such a disdain for childish things. I used to have a housemate who'd constantly shame me for playing video games and liking "immature things". But so what? I was having fun. Isn't that the point of having hobbies and interests in the first place?
#1 was referring to the childish cartoon "Pokemon" not the anime itself. Rather than insulting his life you should look at your own rather than comment on another human being's.
Um, maybe I'm just failing to comprehend, here, but the cartoon *is* the anime.
@113 - Nah, you got it right. There's the 90's anime we all love to hate, the several different manga iterations, the video games, the movies, and the anime spin-offs. There's no 'adult' Pokemon cartoon / anime.
Not laughed at, but probably giggled at.
83, You are awesome. "The stupidest children are the most childish, and the stupidest grown ups are the most grown up."-C.S. Lewis. If there's a "real England," I plan on taking a trip there in the afterlife to shake hands with C.S. Lewis. Care to join me?
Mr. Concise, you are correct. The video games were created first, and then the anime cartoon was based on the video game. The cartoon was introduced first in the states I suppose for marketing reasons. And don't forget about the collectable game cards.
1 - Q: Why wear something so childish? A: It's laundry day.
wearing your favorite childhood cartoon boxers doesnt make you childish and immature. it just means that u love the cartoon and the boxer is comfortable why throw away a boxer just cause some people think its childish
did anyone actually read all of #83 ?
171-Yes. I found it an amusing and interesting quote. What's the problem with it? (It's a little long, but you can't really shorten quotes.)
#1,The way you asked this question, makes it sound like OP did this on purpose, knowing he was about to "get intimate". Most of the time, sex isn't planned, and probably few people actually think about the reaction other people are going to have towards their undergarments when they get dressed for the day.
best comment ever it was legand wait for it... dary! #boss
It was super effective, wasn't it?
Gotta catch em all!
Aw, it appeared to be caught!
So. Much. Win.
Gotta catch them jigglypuffs
@61 As long as his idea of romance isn't Charm, Sleep Powder, Harden, Slam.
I hate it when people make jokes like that. I wouldn't be with someone if they would make fun of me because I like Pokemon. Little kids don't even know what Effort Values are.
@114 he doesn't need that : if he takes the joke with pride and humor, it shows he's got some (master)balls. And I've heard they're pretty tough to escape of ... But in the case the humiliation was too much, there's a lot of other Magikarps he can get with his good, old rod. But I wouldn't ditch a girl who made such a brilliant pun
If my boyfriend had on Pikachu boxers, I would Mary him right then and there.
Marry me instead?
I'd love to see my bf in pokemon boxers. He loves pokemon it's quite sad that he doesn't have any :(
Agreed. Anything pokemon is wonderful.
#64 I know a great surprise Bday and/or Xmas gift.
I wish I had a boyfriend or girlfriend first... Then buy them the Pokemon undies.
Sadly, #3, girls like you are rare. t_t
Pokemon ruled*
No he meant rules
Exactly! Pokemon FTW! OP hurt itself in its confusion :-)
Right? It could've been way worse! She could've laughed after she remeoved the *next* layer, if you know what I mean
STFU a bit?
I am so tired of people like you who think that being mature is one and the same for everyone, while anything different is "immature". You can still play video games and be a mature working adult. You could still watch cartoons and animated films while still being a mature working adult. You could enjoy children's books like Harry Potter or Heroes of Olympus and still be a mature working adult. Heck, I do all 3 of them and I'm still a mature adult college student that studies & works hard for classes. All my friends are the same way too. You don't define what another person's maturity level is and you never will. Let this be a lesson to anyone who reads this comment as well ;)
@110 - As a college dropout with only college students for friends, I can tell you that you don't fit the bill for how society defines maturity. You have a point, maturity is just being appropriate for the situation, but we often attach age and personal bias to what defines maturity (which makes sense considering 'appropriate' is not objective). Age does correlate with knowing when to act appropriately, but it's not the end-all be-all. Hobbies generally mean jack about maturity. The most responsible person I know read 50 Shades, Twilight, and Harry Potter. I guess reading mom ****, teen girl ****, and what might as well be a 'kiddie' book series is a lot worse than enjoying a video game about magic creatures that fight each other, though. Maturity =/= responsibility, which is what we as a society believe. You can contribute to society as well as handle all of your duties and still be wildly inappropriate in social settings. NOTE: I re-read this comment before posting, it's a complete tangent and almost entirely irrelevant to the comment I'm replying to. However I don't wanna let these thoughts go to waste.
BryanVilla maybe if it were a picture of Slakoth!
Last time I checked, the type of boxers you wear is not what gets you laid.
Agreed!
He ended up Running.
Always a disappointment when your Metapod Hardens and you can't even String Shot afterwards.
Hahahahaha, sorry man, but YDI. Dem feels, though.
