Today, it was my birthday. I spent all day in bed, sick with the flu. My boyfriend then broke up with me by text, because he didn't want to risk getting sick by doing it in person. FML

OP has a terrible boyfriend. When i got sick from food poisoning my boyfriend sat in the bathroom with me and held my hair and his top phobia is when people throw up. On the bright side, I hope you feel better OP and have a great birthday!

Well I for one don't see why people get so pissed over text break ups. I've never done it but don't see why it matters. And second would you have preferred he went to see her acting all happy when he wasn't. That only makes memories of fake happiness.

I can understand it was her birthday, but honestly if a person doesn't want to be in a relationship anymore they really don't haven't wait for a day that's best for the other person. I also think people take text message dumps way too personal when even if it's face to face you still be upset.
