Today, both of my grandparents died in a car accident. My Mom and Dad thought it would make me feel better to know they were not my real grandparents, because I'm adopted. FML

I'm pretty sure a lot of the YDIs on the ones that couldn't be anything but FYLs are trolls and/or smartasses. They just click it to be oh-so-bad.

Being told that your adopted means that you have been lied to your whole life, it's not bad if you find it out earlier...but to the people it happens to it seems to them as if their whole life were a lie, does that seem like its "neutral" or "not a big deal?"

being adopted is a GOOD thing. I'm adopted and I'm just glad I didn't gave to grow up in an orphange in dirt poor south America. but fyl for the whole grandparens dieing at the same time thing.
