It is so stupid how corporations & managers write people up or fire them over the stupidest little customer complaint. People are idiots. Someone shouldn't lose there job because someone else is a moron. They shouldn't get written up either.
I agree. I feel that bosses should stick up for their employees. In this case the boss should have tried to calm the man down & explain that his employee did nothing wrong, and if the guy was still freaking he should've given the number of his higher ups and kicked him out, immediately going to his higher up and explaining that they will most likely be getting a call from some psycho customer.
I work in retail and in my first week I got screamed at for 10 straight minutes because our store was "misleading." She was referring to how our sale signs said "with purchase of 2 or more" in the top corner. Anyways she threatened to call head office and have me fired. Some people just want an excuse to yell.
I work in a restaurant and i meet the most rudest people and attitude. It's kinda hard to keep a cheerful mood to asshole customers and smile at them saying,"Have A Nice Day!"

I would guess the not clean one. But that's just me.
It's quite difficult to tell if a table is clean, as they may be referring to a sticky table from a spilled drink, which can only be seen at certain angles. Also there may have been several different tables that could fit the description.
Good point on the sticky/spilled drink. I didn't think of that. But if there's multiple dirty tables it's time to get someone out to buss and wipe.
