As a pregnant mother of 1, I immediately read that as concerns over pregnancy itself, and/or the actual labor and delivery. your parents obviously love you enough to let you stick around!
Maybe your dad was making a joke, I wouldn't worry about it op.

Perhaps she simply had a challenging pregnancy when she was carrying you?
My parents had a similar thought. All they managed were two goofballs instead of one.
