Actually, it's fine talking to professors about some things (not everything cuz there are lines that shouldn't be crossed). They're human too. I don't have many friends either; so, ever since my 2nd year 2nd semester of university, I chilled out in a couple professors' offices. And I was in one particular professor's office once or twice every week jyst talking for about 30 - 60 minutes. I just graduated with a degree in English Literature and still chill out (now lunches, dinners, and movies) with that professor. They're humans too
this might sound clichéd but try joining a club or society OP. it makes a HUGE difference in terms of finding friends. even if it is scary, go to the a few sessions and join in their nights out and you will start to find friendships form
