Today, my mom complained that I never do anything nice for her, so while out shopping I bought her favorite chocolate bar. When I got home, she screamed at me because she’s on a diet. FML

Either you genuinely don’t do nice things for her or she’s crazy. Whichever it is, spending a dollar on her after she complains won’t fix it. Also, buying something after the fact really isn’t nice. You’re just trying to cover your own ass.

it probably just confirmed even more for her that you don't care or listen to her :/ it's probably not about you, and even if it is you should talk to her and see what's bothering her.. she's your mom
