Just explain that to the manager and you will be okay
Let's just hope the manager knows that you can use food stamps either.
I meant to spell can't earlier my bad. Generally half the manager's I've known don't know their head from their ass.
Maybe the OPs manager is like the one in a previous FML and he'll get fired for doing his job right?
Most managers at places like that don't have a clue how to manage anything.
Popcorn, Diet Coke, Twizzlers, and Goobers ARE food. But not Raisinettes. **** you, Raisinettes.
The client is always right.
But the customer is always wrong.
But Raisinettes are awesome..
Shame on you customers are always right :P
I was being sarcastic lol I'm so proud my first thumbed down comment (you may now thumb this one down also)
5 & 27, That's not your first thumb down. You should try checking up on all your comments to find out. I can tell you're new to FML. Welcome.
Customer always think they're right. Big difference.
WELL HOW RUDE! Popcorn is food too!! And the movies always has the best popcorn!
It's not like Op had the authority to forbid the use of food stamps at a movie theater, Op was just following the rules...
If they need to use food stamps, maybe he/she shouldn't be spending $10+ on movie tickets in the first place.
Yeah BC people on food stamps can only go to work, or look for work, and go home and eat ramen, macaroni and cheese, and tuna fish sandwiches. How dare they get out once in a while, or buy steak once a month. And no oreos or fruit snack for the kids.
That isn't what they are saying...what everyone else (myself included) is saying is that people shouldn't expect their food stamps to work at the movies. They are food stamps not movie stamps. If you have a little extra cash from work and want to go to the movies go for it but don't expect the government to pay for your ticket.
As Shanny said, all you have to do is explain it to management and they should be able to take care of it. If not, then management is obviously failing at their job. This shouldn't be an FML.
The government should set up a food-stamp-to-dollar converter
But that's the point of food stamps so they HAVE to spend it on food and other necessities not going to the movies
Just last week a lady tried to convince me that I'd save money. I buy food with govs money (food stamp) and save my own. All I had to do was exchange some "talcum powder" for them...
*facepalm* I have a feeling that you'll be learning about food stamps very soon.
wow the stupidity...
....and booze, and strippers and hookers
Some people are just so spoiled by modern society... Thinking they should get to formaly complain about everything...
