Today, I found out my boyfriend of six years, with whom I wanted to spend my life with, has been cheating behind my back with my friend. The kicker? They met after I invited her to live with us to get away from her chaotic family, and I suspected she was emotionally stunted at the time. FML

Today, I found out my boyfriend cheated on me, years after it happened. I live with him and have been paying his rent, and have been completely oblivious of the fact all this time. Of course, it was also with the girl he told me not to worry about. FML

Today, I found out my girlfriend of 3 years has been cheating on me with more guys than I can count on one hand. I'm not sure what's worse, realizing this only after she's moved in, realizing two of the guys were my close friends, or realizing I'd given up my dream career for this. FML

Among human beings 3 is an unstable number (unless they are actually family). There is always the possibility that 2 of the 3 will find they are interested in each other or may gang up on the 3rd. Do not bring into your home long term an unrelated person of either gender. Eventually it results in an FML. A visit is one thing, living together is quite another thing.

Nope, this still counts for family. I have 2 siblings and even as adults we can never all be at our parents house at the same time or someone's getting hurt.
