Trololololll
Next time gram wants food put frozen food in front of her.
That's when you tell her..."Hey Granny! I just enrolled you at Shady Pines Retirement Home! They don't feed you guys though...they heard food was just a waste of money. I figured you'd agree with their policy." as you say it, eat your homemade meal, slowly, never breaking eye contact, except to close your eyes & relish the taste
The lady's old. Give her a break. My mother was told by *her* mother that she should listen and nod appropriately and make respectful comments and enquire after additional information, and then just go do what she was going to do anyway. This advice was delivered in 1958. My daughters smile and nod, too, and then go do whatever they wanted to do, which would happen anyway. Four generations now.
Maybe you should stop giving them that advice...
Don't let grumpy granny ruin your accomplishment. Being able to cook tasty dishes from scratch is a life skill - and much better nutrition than processed frozen food
You can't please everyone that's for sure do what u need to do for you

If there is anything this website has taught me it is that it's impossible to please old people.
