Yawning funny enough could be considered contagious in many situations, but verbally abusing someone because of it is beyond stupid...

That reminds me of the time back in my school days on a class trip when a teacher reprimanded me for coughing in the restaurant we were in because the smoking man nearby (smoking was allowed indoors back then) might take offense to it. The teacher knew that I was recovering from a recent bout of pneumonia!

If your co-worker wants to verbally abuse you for yawning, perhaps you should desire to report him to HR for verbally abusing you. :p Correcting this type of stupid is almost a civic duty, lest it continue. ;p
