outthelabyrynth tells us more.
Okay, maybe break the piano was a bit of a drastic solution. It's really heavy and my dad got it as a gift from one of his patients, so I'm not really familiar with the thing. It's really old and out of tune, we do get it tuned once in a while, but it doesn't make any difference. We are trying to find someone who's interested in it, since we don't use it anymore, and for that reason we had placed the piano in a side part of the house. I'm a responsible cat owner and I know that when you get a new cat you have to let it get used to your house room by room. Unfortunately for us, it was the piano room... I still have no idea how she got in, since the piano is a really massive thing, no holes or stuff like that. We had to take of the front (which also happens when it gets tuned) to get her out, but she was completely fine and so was the piano, so, that turned out all right :) For those of you who were asking if I bought or adopted the cat, I meant bought. I really think adopting is better! But this cat species is hypo-allergic, and since my dad is allergic to cats, this was the only way we could get one. I've wanted a cat for whole my life and after 16 years, my dream came true, and everyone here loves our little kitty :) I laughed at all your musical kitty jokes, and thanks for all the advice! Happy holidays xxx

OP, you shouldn't have to break the piano. Take the tuna/treat/food advice and she'll come out when she's ready. Don't ambush her when she comes out, but you should also teach her that the piano is not and acceptable place to hide. If you don't, she'll continue to climb into it when she feels the need to hide because she knows you can't get her out of it. If you haven't had her long, she's not used to her new space yet. give her at least a month to start to get comfortable with her surroundings and you again, and another couple of months to be fully in control and confident in her environment. Cats don't always do well with change, especially in a new place. Talk nicely to her when you see her and don't try to pet her or pick her up, let her come to you. You have to go at the cat's pace, or it's possible that you may end up with a scared cat that doesn't trust you that you just happen to share a house with. She's not a bad cat, you're not a bad owner, but you have to work together because you brought her home with you to love her and care for her, and she will do the same for you. Breaking the piano will only cost you money and scare your cat. If you can spare the piano for a few days, please do and let her get hungry enough to come out and maybe explore a bit at night. Sorry for the long speech...
Are you sure it is stuck? I have 4 of my own and from experience I know that cats are very rarely someplace they do not want to be, unless you put them there yourself. One of mine used to get stuck up a tree and meow pitifully once a week or so, and I used to climb up there every time to get it down. Turns out, that it was her own way of entertaining herself, because one time I opened a can of food under that tree instead of climbing up and watched her climb down with no problem whatsoever. Cats are tricky beings, take it from me, Brian the dog.
I can agree on that. My 2 cats I have had for 16 and 14 yrs will regularly disappear in the house. After spending an hour looking for them and heading outside to see if they escaped, the little buggers will oh so nonchalantly wander out from god knows where in the house. I swear they have found a wormhole in there. Leave some treats or tuna or wet cat food out and just keep the room the piano is in quiet. Chances are your new cat will decamp from your piano when she feels comfortable doing so.
How does a dog climb trees?
Nooooo!!! Don't break the piano?!? If she got IN there, she can get back out!!!
leave the little shit in there
And let it die!?! The cat could actually be stuck and may not be able to get out on its own. It could be caught in the strings or something.
The cat did it on purpose... Cats are evil, OP.
I hope the cat is OK......
I see wat ya did with ur name :D
Lol aw poor thing
If u wait long enough it will get itself out

Feed her inside the piano and let her grow up to be one musical kitty.
That sounds like A Major catastrophe, OP. With a dilemma of this scale, patience and delicacy is key,
