Today, I’m french and am studying in Japan. One of my teachers, passionate about France, opened a magazine about French bread and asked me if it tasted good. I cried. FML

Meuf je vis dans le Nord we l'Angleterre et le pain me manque tellement!

C'etait vraiment necessaire de lui critique? Tu n'es pas gentille

Now seems like a good time to mention that you were all speaking in strange, foreign tongues, and should probably see an exorcist asap. And also, please speak in english.

If there was a war between Italy, France and Spain about just bread, it would be completely justified. I'm so sorry for you Op, hope you get home soon:)

I never understood all this passion for baguette etc. Then I visited France. And went into a bakery. OP, I feel your pain. (AND THE CHEESES! I AM DROOLING HERE! GIMME BAGUETTE AND FROMAGE!)

I don't get it. I thought it would be because OP is homesick. Is there some meme about French bread being bad?

French bread is widely considered the best bread in existence, though Italian and Spanish bread are the other top contenders. OP started crying because not only is French bread that damn good, it also made her homesick.

Lol! I feel you! When I lived in Japan, I was so desperate for English language stuff that I devoured any English book my high school library had. Such as Peter Pan and Bambi. Hint-- they are NOTHING like the Disney movies. But enjoy Japan! Soon you'll be home and missing the ramen and mochi and miso and mochi. Yes, I said mochi twice because I really miss mochi and Japanese sweets....

I think OP may have to elucidate us more because alot of people are confused about OP's reaction.
