It's a funeral. It's hard to be in a calm state of mind. Just tell everyone you can't think clearly because of what was going on at the moment. They'll understand it's easy to make a slip like that during something so emotional.
You could've saved yourself on that by saying "Because you will always be with us in our hearts" or something like that right after
