Today, while visiting my son at university, I noticed a funky smell in his room. He admitted to not changing his bedsheets since he moved in 2.5 years ago. I’ve raised an animal. FML

Think of all the water and electricity he has saved by refraining from planet-destroying laundry!

Sounds like someone I know of; they threw out their son's bedsheets after he'd been to university, as they had gone mouldy from not being washed all year

Is this the first time you have visited your son at the his school in 2.5 years? I’m sure if visited more often he would make sure his room didn’t stink. When kids don’t live under their parents roof they do whatever they want because they aren’t reminded of what needs to be done. Of course that only happens when the parents do everything for their kids.

I would hope that every parent tries to instill certain values in their kids and hopefully teaches them basic life skills, such as housekeeping. Unfortunately, a lot of kids ignore it. Hopefully you aren't washing the sheets for him. He's an adult; he can do it himself.

I mean I would forget maybe a week. But 2 years!? I gag and pity everyone

A month is okay in the winter summer once a week he nasty I see hygiene is not his thing

How is this possible? Most students go home during the summer semester
