OP here. Some of these comments crack me up, but thank you for the chuckle. My daughter is the light of my life and truly has a sense of humor and intelligence beyond her short 3 years. I appreciate the support of most and I am happy to have this to share with her as she gets older.

The doctor had to be drunk not to know what the kid meant.
The real sad thing is that your kid is right and you don't even get it. You drink water too, don't you? Idiot..
It's funny how people think you're serious.

Out of the mouths of babes!
...So explain to your three year old what alcohol is and what the doctor meant, and then explain to your doctor that your three year old has never been around alcohol and thus did not understand the question. I really don't think the doctor is going to take the word of a three year old over that of an adult when it comes to that question and how it was phrased.
Given how young your child is, I guess s/he didn't understand the doctor was talking about alcohol and not just any beverage. I think it's cute how kidsisunderstand things sometimes, but in situations like this its awfully embarrassing. ^^
Your kid probably thinks he means drinking water!
Maybe, that's what you think,,
Not true, I'm sure he knows that your liver is fine.
Your kid probably meant that she sees you drink stuff like water or milk all the time. Aren't doctors supposed to be smart?

Yeah the kid probably thought the doctor meant water
