Today, my fiance and I decided to say fuck everyone and elope. I love the idea. But my stepmother is still telling me I need a $10,000 wedding. FML.

Well you really don't need a wedding like that at all. It's better to have a small ceremony you want that won't cost too much rather than go into debt to impress your friends and family. I've told my boyfriend if we get married that I want something small and he agrees. Also, it's your wedding she can't say anything about it. She doesn't even need to be there if she doesn't like it.
