Today, my sisters and I pitched together nearly $500 to send my mom to the spa for Mother's Day. We put the printed sheet with her info into a little box with our card on top. When she opened it, she freaked out and started hugging my dad. Turns out he switched the cards and took all the credit. FML

And parents wonder their kids have no respect for them...

Next time disguise it as a Justin Beiber CD.

Speak up kid, that bullshit wouldn't be flying if it were me, own up or die

And you LET him? If you didn't call him on it the moment it happened you deserve to get no credit for it.

It would be worse to call him out in front of their mom, ruining her Mother's Day.

Ah, but it would be his fault. If people are rewarded for bad behavior, they WILL repeat it, this has to be punished severely or he'll just take credit for other peoples gifts. What kind of deadbeat husband can't afford a gift for their wife anyway? ******* douche.

Don't do anything for Father's Day then

Say that since he is taking credit for the spa, give him the bill in front of your mother.

If you did it on the Internet surely you can use bank details or order info to prove that it was your gift

you could always tell him that you and your sisters were going to get him an awesome gift but that since you spent all of your money on the gift that he took credit for that's his gift. a happy wife.
