Seriously? You told people he was dead because you couldn't differentiate between a dream and reality? ThAts not normal. Not at all.
it's actually pretty common, what's not normal is that op didn't verify anything before telling everyone it was real.
even if you thought it was real, you should have been the last one calling family to make that announcement. that would fall to a spouse, children or siblings. the fact you can't differentiate dreams from reality is a bigger problem
who told everyone he was dead? did you tell everyone he was dead before checking on him? that doesnt sound right.
