ATM FML

Today, my stepdaughter wants her biological father, a man who abandoned her as a child, drinks to the point of puking and acting violent, and hasn’t held a real job in years to walk her down the aisle at her wedding. I feel like an ATM at this point because I paid for 80% of her wedding expenses. FML

I’m having a hard time calling her an a-hole because desperately seeking approval from a terrible excuse for a father is unfortunately very common, but she is absolutely wrong in the way she treats you. Like the previous commenter said, count this as the last thing you’ll go out of your way to do for her and move on. Anything else she wants, her mother can pay for with her fun money.

Count this as the last nice thing you ever do for her.

You should have nailed down the aisle-walking gig before you put in Dime One. Make sure there's an open bar so the bio-dad gets smashed and hopefully someone will give him a beat-down.

It would be a better revenge if the wedding is totally non-alcoholic. Bio-Dad won't stay past the kissing of the bride.

Dude, parents aren't perfect and that's okay. Despite everything she wants to share this moment with her real father, that's kind of endearing, and her choice. And you're trying to make her walk down the isle about you, really? JFC

Anyone can become a father. It takes someone special to be a daddy. And learn the difference between "isle" and "aisle."

I agree with Brightside. Get over yourself.
