Clout chasing

By Anonymous - This FML is from back in 2011 but it's good stuff - Australia

Today, to give the illusion that I have friends, I wrote an outrageous status on Facebook, and then pretended it was the result of a friend hacking my page, all in the hope that it would get comments, likes, or at least some attention. Nothing happened. FML

aww we should be Facebook friends

If you don't have friends, who is going to read the status?

Then continue on with the illusion. Delude yourself by creating other accounts to comment/like. At least get the satisfaction that you were looking for. Which can go on forever.

This FML got more action than the FB post I bet. OP, you can back away from the ledge, FML pays attention to you.

I know a female from NSW who did the same thing the other day. Coincidence? Hmmmmmmmmmmm. The reason why everyone ignores this particular person I know is because she is a selfish, immature troublemaking attention *****, and everyone is sick of her manufactured drama. I hope that's not you, OP.

I also have someone on my facebook who is like this... she drives me bonkers. and she updates her status every two minutes, which isn't quite as often as she changes her sexual preference...

unfortunately, she is family. When I delete her, I am the bad guy.

You can edit your news feed and choose to show or hide posts from particular people/friends without rejecting them as a facebook contact. I also categorize them into groups like, "Family","Highschool friends", etc. so I can easily choose which posts/albums to private it from. So yea I've found my way around facebook :p Haha! Just sharing ;)
