Maybe you can party with him every second weekend. Sounds like he's got a knack for banging hot babes. You'll learn much from him.
I know the cheating part changes this as it could really hurt your mum's feelings but maybe chat with her about him (not that he's your favourite family member! but that he has been family to you) and see if she would be at all open to you seeing him occasionally (this will also have to do with him as some people once they're an ex they're an ex to the entire family). When my aunt and uncle split up (they're been together at least 10, if not 15 yrs) my uncle was my favourite family member and the only one I could talk to about my feelings. I spoke with my aunt and explained and she allowed me to keep my relationship with him - and he wanted to keep it too. She's even went out with him when my other aunt's are in town (from Australia) and I see him when I'm home (from California). Talk it out with your mom, maybe after the divorce and everything is settled. Until then, find another friend or family member who you can rely on and spend time with.
