Today, I found out that one of my best friends likes the girl that I like. What's funny is that my best friend is also a girl, and has a better chance with her than I do. FML

Sometimes it just is like that. If the girl you like is into girls and not guys, it doesn't make any difference whether you also have a friend into her or not - she wasn't going to go for you anyway. I've been on the opposite side of this situation recently (being the female friend that likes a girl who isn't into guys), and while I feel bad for my male friend, I've still gone ahead and asked her out. There's no point 3 people being miserable because they can't have what they want instead of just one.

"Better chance" would indicate the other person is Bi, not gay. Otherwise the person would have no chance at all.
