Today, I was almost done getting ready for a really big date, when I heard my dad call for help from outside. I rushed downstairs and out the door, only to be ambushed and showered by my father with the garden hose. FML

What if they had reservations somewhere and now run late because s/he has to fix themselves up again? Or trying to make a movie that only runs three times a day and this is the last showing? I can appreciate the humor to an extent but it's still an annoying move on the dad's part, and I would be a bit miffed if I was the OP or their date. It might be hard for someone to appreciate the humor in the moment so I wouldn't use that as any kind of scale for whether they are worth hanging around or not.

My boss added just $10 to my salary and told me to let her carry on doing nothing, while I still do the work of 2 people. FML

I'm in excruciating pain but can't get out of work, no internet for over a week so I can't do college work, a guy ran into my car, totaling it. it's 20 years-old so insurance probably won't give me enough to replace.
