Good question

Today, my girlfriend accused me of only dating her because I’m lonely and want sex. Surely the point of dating someone you love is to be together so you’re not alone, and I have it on good authority that dating occasionally includes sex, so is she nuts or am I actually the bad guy here? FML

What she’s saying is that she feels neglected and like you’re not interested in her as a person, just as a generic someone to not be “single.” IE she’s not feeling loved or cared about on a personal level. You might need to work on that and show interest in things that she likes and not just whatever you like/want.

You can replace her with any woman if all you want is a warm body and wet hole. Why are you with THIS specific woman?

Could be some of both? She just has a Patsy Cline song, but you've got Billie Eilish. Billie...******'...Eilish!

Pretty sure that *good authority* of yours ain't the Pope!

Sounds like she wants to know some reason why you're with her rather than some other random person. If you can't answer that, you shouldn't be with her.

You have misunderstood concept of relationship. You're meant to be partners in life and sharing experiences, not putting your insecurities and neediness on her. If you're feeling lonely it's not her job to make you feel better, she can be supportive, but under no circumstances does anyone want to have sex with a lonely boyfriend. It's called pity sex, and is not to enjoy but to give you pleasure. Living together, and sleeping together doesn't mean you get to dump your emotions on her without consequences, she will respond exactly how she is feeling. Take a break, don't be constantly available, find a hobby, so instead of saying I need you I'm so lonely, I need sex, you could say I had so much fun today doing a,b and c, but I would love for you to join me next time.
