Tell him you will take the offer. There is no way on God's green earth that you are getting accepted by Friday. It will buy you some time to come up with another plan. Also if you visit a military academy one afternoon then technically you "went there".
You may want to look over a copy of their divorce decree. A lot of times it is spelled out that the parents shall be responsible for a portion of tuition for secondary education. It's one of the rare times that a parent can be legally obligated to pay for college for their kids.
Have fun cadet
For once, I honestly don't know which parent is worse...
suck it up son the military will be good for you!
I don't understand how some people thought you deserved it. That really sucks the position you're in.
1. Actually, both parents are to blame. 2. No one asks to be born. So the least the parents could do is actually help pay for an education, we need in order to get ahead in life. 3. Financial Aid is your friend. 4. You can get loans, just know what that entails for the long run after you finish school. 5. Good luck with whatever you solution you figure out.

What in the world? What kind of father holds out on that and says something like that? Do you have any other relatives that would take you in? If you told them I'm sure they would understand your dilemma
There is NO tuition at the military academies. But, if you graduate, you will owe them 5 years of service. There are better ways. Lots of financial aid out there, but you have to do the work to find it. You can also enlist in the service, do 4 years, get paid, and then have them send you to college on the GI Bill. As the Bundy kids say, "Thanks, Dad!"
