Today, I learned that if you sing along with an old Frank Sinatra song, the elderly who hear you will want to talk to you about things you have no idea about, for a very long time. FML
I agree, your life sucks 1 260

Youre the kind of person who doesnt pay attention when your elders speak arent you. If you used elderly correctly they may want to talk to you because they are lonely. Or just maybe...really happy that some one from the younger generation is interested in the classics. Dont be a douche. Be polite tell them you dont have time to talk. Move on with your day. If thats all you have to bitch about...youre lucky.

That's life! That's what people say. Riding high in April, shot down in May. You should have high hopes that your boots are made for walking (no, wait, that's his daughter.)

He didn’t say they were things he didn’t want to talk about, he said they were things he had no clue about. You are definitely assuming the worst here. I’ve been willing to talk to my elders many times but struggled to find any common ground. Unknowing doesn’t mean unwilling.

Well in that case, I'll be more careful of who's around when listening to My Way

When I was your age.... Wait. Where're you going? GET BACK HERE WHEN I'M TALKING TOWARD YOU, YOU WHIPPERSNAPPER! And get offa mah lawn! [shakes cane feebly] Seriously, those elderly people are just that -- people. It takes so little effort on your part to give them a little bit of your time and attention, and they're likely to be grateful for any show of kindness from you.

Listen to them, you might learn something. From a 60-something.
