It's an allegory of the 1917 revolutions in Russia. Anyone who likes animal allegory should also look into Maus I and Maus II - books that look at the Holocaust in Nazi territory, and characterize Jews as mice, Nazis as cats.

mein kampf showed the brilliance of Hitler he was writing ideas about propaganda 10years before he put them to use if Hitler wasn't such an evil bastard he could have truly made the world a better place

Hitler's chapter about propaganda was a plagiarism from an army manual he was given. The book is boring as hell.

When I was in school, I read the book and watched the 1954 cartoon movie! They're great and very interesting and I'm not good for history, especially about revolutions and wars. I'd recommend anyone who's never heard of 'Animal Farm' to read it, or at least watch the cartoon movie if you don't like reading and think you can learn more from watching...

What kind of school is this? I read Animal Farm in 7th grade and my whole class including the teacher understood it just fine...
