Reminds me of one of my dad's friends not too longer ago. She's a bit... unique, to be polite. When one of her cats died, she sent an e-mail to everyone she knew saying this, along with a picture of her cuddled up with her dead cat. She also mentioned somewhere along the way that she was keeping it in her freezer until the weather was good enough to bury it.

I know I love my cat, but DAMN your mom is batshit craaaaazy.

That's crazy. I know my grade 12 english teacher had a friend who wanted to be burried with his cat, so my teacher had the cat put down and put it in the freezer till the old man passed away. I guess his freezer broke and the cat defrosted and started to decompose, put it in the freezer with the family's food. When the old guy finally passed away he put the cat by the old man's head and took photos of it... and showed them to our class. It was disgusting.

Get your mum a new cat. Name it a name completely different to yours. Preferably not even a people name, go for Blackie or Mittens. See if she starts calling the new cat your name.

When my puppy got hit by a car, my mother wanted to have her cremated, we had to wait until the next day so i told her to keep her cold so she wouldnt, do anything, i told her to put her on ice or something. I woke up the next day and went to get a drink, inside my fridge was a big white package. When i asked my mother what it was, she replied, "Tessa". And yes, Tessa was the name of my puppy. My mother also cremated a cat and put the ashes in a stuffed animal that looked like the cat. My mother is not normal lol
