Oh come on! Who has never been bothered by a baby crying? It is normal for parents to put up with it since they gave birth to the child in the first place and chose to keep it. They know it's part of the whole package. Neighbours didn't have a say in the matter (which is normal), but it is also normal they are bothered when the baby cries, especially at 2am!
If you can hear the baby, they can obviously hear you too. Think next time
