No good deed
My faith in humanity is crumbling more and more each day...
So there are still people with no password on their phone?
Frankly, this is why I don't bother to help strangers anymore. It really doesn't even matter what it is; turning in a phone, changing a tire, calling a cab, I just prefer to stay out of others misfortunes.
WTF? This needs a follow up! How awful of them! If you can use the call as proof that you did NOT steal the phone do that. Also you could have sent a text that you have found the phone and ask where you can drop it. Then maybe call if no one bothered to reply. Still it's just vile on their behalf. They are lucky you found it and wanted to do good and return it. Someone else could have just kept it.
Chances are "daddy" isn't her father. then again maybe it is, but the owner probably lied about where they were and needed a reason why their phone was there. So they probably just said it was stolen
You can't be nice any more. I would have just left it.
