Hi folks, I have the similar case. A half year ago my parents told me that the father is seriously ill and diagnosed with cancer. At that time my old dream finally had already became true - I got a job abroad. I was so happy working there but my brother accused me of being careless. parents told that my father is about to die. when I came home (having spent all my money for tickets and other stuff), it turned out that parents just wanted me to come because they worried about me (working abroad is not safe for them)

I'm sorry :-/ that was really selfish of them. I'm not sure if I would ever forgive my parents if they ever did that.

I am young and I want to be a little happy. the thing is that if I do not forgive them, I will live on with a terrible feelings. Of cos, they will die soon and they do not need to care about such things... (

As an individual who has had cancer I find it hugely insulting that anyone could do that. Cancer is not something I'd wish on my worst enemy. But respect to you OP.

Well I assume that OP's grandma didn't fool the doctors by "faking" he cancer. Chances are she told OP that she had cancer and needed money to cover the medical bills. She probably signed her a check or something similar. It might appear foolish and naive to do so, but would you really question a family member if they came to you saying they need money to fight a life threatening disease?

That sucks. Sorry to say this but your grandma's a ****.

Your grandma is just pure evil. Something like this deserves a one way ticket to hell. And no, there won't be AC/DC playing on the way.

When she gets too old put her in a nursing home to rot then you have the last laugh.

This has made the news a few time. In the last few months I have seen 2 women get jail time for taking money as they faked cancer. One lady had her kid thinking he/she had cancer. It is fraud and she should be reported. That is way past sick

If you can prove from the date you started paying for the "cancer treatments", can't you just take her to small claims court or court if it is beyond the small claim amount to try and get all that money back OP?
