Sound false. I don't think you can be legally fired for taking a personal day, Whig your employer apparently allows. If you were calling out frequently and without your employer giving you personal days every month/year/whatever, YDI. Otherwise, fake.
Just because someone isn't 'allowed' to do something, doesn't mean that won't do it anyway. Happens constantly, everyday; it does not mean this is fake. The OP could sue the employer because of it, if they decide not to let their boss get away with it.
**** the what or for the win or frequently thrashed watermelons...
Well, I hope you pass your test, buddy... You're going to need good grades to do something after you're done with school. I don't mean to be mean, but hey...
I don't know where you work OP, but I feel your pain! Trying to go to school and work at the same time is tough. If push comes to shove always choose furthering your education over work. It will pay off in the end. Plus dead end jobs are always full of losers who get jealous when someone is trying to better their life. Don't feel too bad.
hreat! Now you have more time to study ! Get cracking.
At my first job, I came to work on time & worked 8 hours without a break. They were always late & took numerous smoke breaks. I rode the bus from another city. When I told my boss I couldn't come in Saturday morning he made such a big deal about it. Even tho I told him 3 months in advance & even gave him a hard copy of my school schedule. I still worked right after class(which was 12pm). I ended up quitting & finding a better job that I been at for over a year now! :)

I feel for you. One would think that having a test postponed is something to celebrate, but most of the time when that happened it just pissed me off.
You'd fire someone just because they called in for personal reasons? Really? Even if you didn't know what it was? If they were informed in the morning that some very important matter called them away from work (like a man's wife was having complications during labor, for example...), you'd fire them for calling in? I feel sorry for anyone who ever has to work under you.
