Today, I was told that in order to be considered for more jobs, I should remove my college degree from my resume. FML

did any of you idiots think that possibly she is over qualified for a lot of jobs

Why do you ask, can't you read the comments yourself? I don't even know IF you actually asked, noting the lack of a question mark. Anyway to answer your 'question'; yes, probably half of all the 'idiotic' comments state she is probably over-qualified.

there's thousands of dollars and four years you'll never get back

Sometimes it can be advantageous. My friend was trying to get a job for the summer and was having a hard time finding one because the economy was shit--and it turned out removing her university from her resume made it easier to find a job. There are a lot of employers who think it's not worth hiring a student for the summer so when they see someone with a university on their resume, they assume that they'll just be leaving in a couple of months and pass them over for the job. Sure it's not the most honest thing in the world, but when you need to come up with $5000 to make ends meet for the school year, you gotta do what you gotta do.
