The truth

By Class - This FML is from back in 2012 but it's good stuff - United States - Newton Center

Today, I brought my 90-year-old grandfather into school for a project that required to bring in "a first-hand account" of the Great Depression. He started off by telling the class how in his day, they "threw rocks at black people." FML

Although that's horribly racist, I gotta admit, that's pretty hilarious.

Well he was just explaining how they couldn't afford anything so they used rocks.

Looks like a potential recruit for the KKK?

Your grandpa is one racist ass guy, hopefully no one takes that against you FYL OP

Probably, that is the way he reacted on the great depression - by throwing rocks at black people. Good news? Your grandfather is not shy to tell this in front of the class.

That's just how things were. I hope you took the opportunity to explain and discuss all the implications of what he said.

i wonder how long it wuld take the teacher to throw him out when he starts talking about his "grand wizard"

well at least he's not afraid to speak his mind. (:

I'm not going to lie man that would be funny if you were there to witness that

Thus ends the history of the depression. Any questions?

I hope the teacher doesn't grade the student on the things that came out of grandpa's mouth and doesn't let another person's racism get in the way of doing their job.

I think he would have received a failing grade or at least a judging eye even if the teacher was any ethnicity. Racism isn't just hated by African Americans.
