Today, a friend told me over MSN that her father had died. Trying to express some solidarity, I went to send her a tearful smiley. I accidentally sent her the dancing pig animation instead. FML

It may have cheered her up. You never know. P.S., why would you send a "cheerful smiley" to cheer her up?

That's the perfect oink-ment for healing! Okay whatever.. That sucked.

Use your words, not some lame assed emoticon meant to express feeling. A lot more can be said with an "I'm so sorry" than just a ":'(" which to me, says "I don't give a ****."

perhaps a tearful smile was not the right choice. to get your point across i suggest something more direct, like 8=D.

a penis? noooo if you must, make the nose larger so it's more recognizable, like this: 8=======D and nice eyes Jumber.

Don't worry. If life gives you a dancing pig on your computer, give the blame to someone else.

maybe she'll take it as you trying to cheer her up?

And your first thought wasn't to ring them up and talk with them because?

Perhaps because the OPs friend lives far away and international calls are very expensive? Don't try to be presumptuous and on some kind of moral-pedestal when you don't know the full scope of the situation. A logical person would assume that since the OP's friend brought it up on MSN - and didn't call the OP - that must be their major means of communication.

I would have said. "dancing about her fathers grave" That would've at least been a pun.
