Today, my boss called me into her office to tell me I needed to mind my own business and not question everything my newest co-worker does. Yesterday, I stopped the new girl from giving $6,000 to the wrong person. I was fired on the spot. The new girl was promoted into my job. FML

Today, I found out that when my boss said she was considering bumping me up to full time, she actually meant she was planning on letting me go. Everyone in the office except me knew. FML

Today, after nearly eight months of unemployment, I started a great new job. After seven and a half hours of work, my new boss comes up to tell me what a great job I was doing, but that he somehow forgot to clear the new hire with the company owner, so I'm fired. Hello, unemployment... again. FML

Today, I got fired from my dream job. I found out today that the girl who trained me lied and taught me how to do things wrong, so that when she got back from maternity leave, she could get me fired and take her job back. My new coworkers were in on her plan from the beginning. FML

It sounds like she was trying to be nice, to some degree. Sometimes lack of experience is actually fine - the person will adapt and learn quickly and will catch up to where they would be with more experience. Sometimes they struggle to do that and wind up overwhelmed or just not doing a great job. It sounds like she thought it was going to be the former situation but it turned out to be the latter, and that really sucks for you, OP, I'm sorry :(

Exactly the same thing happened to me, except it was towards the end of my three-month trial period. It turns out that after three months of a "trial" period, if you get put on as a permanent employee, they have to pay you a higher wage. So they just kept firing people after 3 months so they could pay a cheaper wage.
