Today, after being single for a while now, I unwillingly went on a blind date with a guy my friend convinced me would be perfect for me. He took me to McDonald's. His father was with him the whole entire time. He's 27. FML

Did you tell your friend that you have a fantasy about being in a cheapskate threesome?

Did she tell you which one would be perfect for you? maybe she meant the father and the son just tagged along

"Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another episode of Disaster Date!"

His father was "with the entire time"? Huh?!

Sounds like your former date will be forever alone. I wouldn't be surprised if he still breastfeeds off his mom. His parents are probably overly religious nuts hellbent on maintaining their son's virginity.

It amazes me how some people can turn ANYTHING into "it's all religion's fault!!!" Shit, I'm not religious at all and I still find it annoying.

Blind dates are awkward. They are social situations where two people that don't know each other are supposed to be together in a rather intimate setting. Next time tell your friend "thank you but I will find my own dates from now on. " or even have all three of you go out together to see if you'd even be interested in a date with these men.

Dad was the Back-up Plan. If you were too boring for the son, you might have been just right for the old guy. Some old dudes are so intent on being with younger women, they'll settle for one who is too tedious for her contemporaries.

Seems like you're better off single.
