Today, I went on a blind date that my best friend had set up for me. When I arrived, I introduced myself and we sat at the table. After we ordered our food, he asked the waiter for some crayons and a kid's menu, and colored for the half hour before our food came. He didn't talk to me at all. FML

I don't mind that he colored, hell I would've joined in. It's just the sheer awkwardness of him ignoring her, that's the problem.

Now, it's one thing to color on a date. I mean, I would color on a date. But he didn't even converse with her while he colored. For thirty minutes they sat in silence. I don't think the coloring business is the main issue. I think it's just the fact that he ignored her while he colored. At least, that's how it would be for me. :)

Coloring in a kids book is considered "letting loose and having fun?" I can only imagine how boring your life must be.

Coloring on a date to be funny is not a bad thing. The FML is that this guy didn't do it to be cute, or funny or flirty. He was either stupid or trying to avoid her.

Why didn't you color also? And apparently you didn't talk to him at all, either, or you'd have said "he ignored me whenever I spoke." I hope for your sake you're quick to put out, because otherwise you seem like a boring date ;)
