Today, after boarding my flight, the flight attendant looked at me and said that I had to sit elsewhere because I had to be over 14 to sit near the emergency exit. I'm 22. FML

I feel you, I've been pulled over twice on suspicion of being too young to drive...I'm almost 20.

It sucks for you now, but when you’re 50, but look 30, you’ll go, “Oooooohhh, yeeeaaaah!”

I feel you. I'm 24 and loads of people tell me "you look half that" - so, 12. But when I was in Japan, people thought I was 28+! So it's on them, not on me. Expectations are informed by culture...and c'mon people in their late-20s been playing high schoolers for decades. And white people just age horribly, usually, so I guess we're expected to look older. PS Sure I'll enjoy it when I'm like 35+ but for now I'm stuck struggling to assert myself as an adult to be taken seriously. There are pros and cons to everything.

How is this an FML? Just show her your ID. I'm pretty sure airline rules say that kids 15 or 16 and under aren't allowed to fly solo. You have to pay extra to be "baby sat" by them or additional crew of the airline. She would've been informed ahead of time and given the seat of the underaged passenger.
